Worth to mention about the upset in a game betweenAirs (10-8) and Giants (7-11), which took place in New Plymouth. 4th placed Airs lost at home to tenth ranked Giants 71-82 on Wednesday. American point guard Alex Robinson (185-1995, college: TCU) nailed 25 points, 6 assists and 5 steals for the winning side and his fellow American import guard Andrew Jones (193-1997, college: Texas) accounted for 21 points and 6 rebounds. Power forward Jack Andrew (208-2001) came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks and American Armon Fletcher (196-1995, college: SIU) added 20 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Airs in the defeat. Airs' coach Sam Mackinnon rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the third consecutive win for Giants . They maintain tenth place with 7-11 record. Airs at the other side dropped to the fifth position with eight games lost.
